The Management of the company had ambitious plan of growth in future and took a decision to use IT as an important strategy in its growth plans. It was stuck with bottlenecks as more domestic and export orders began to pour in. Without a good business process control and information system they were not very comfortable about adding more production capacity. They wanted to implement a proper system for Quality Assurance, Order Management, Inventory Management, Delivery Systems and have a tight integration of all departments. So, they took a conscious decision to go for an ERP even when the turnover as a start-up was quite moderate.
Before migrating to ebizframe they were using Tally for Accounts and some local software for payroll. Order processing and pre-press activities were being managed on excel spread sheets. Other processes like Sales, Procurement, QA, Production, Production Planning and Inventory were manual. Controlling receivables and payables, purchases and inventory control was a big problem. The existing software was not able to record more than 40% of their activities and planning.
To overcome these drawbacks the client chose ebizframe an ERP solution from Eastern Software Solutions with strong references from existing customers. Another reason for this choice was low initial cost with clear implementation methodology, understanding of the industry, proven delivery system and high data security. Their feedback from the market also assured them of Low Cost of Ownership in case of ebizframe.
They chose Sales, Procurement, Finance and Inventory Modules for the first phase of implementation and it’s already completed. Production, Production Planning and QA/QC implementations are under process and will be completed soon. The third phase will be the bar coding for raw material, sub-contracting activities, export and portal solution to give access to the customers/vendors to see their order status, delivery status and other necessary information. HR & Payroll with the integration of Attendance Recording Systems will be the last phase of implementation.
Some of the benefits derived with the implementation of ebizframe ERP are –
The management is very satisfied with the support and response of ESS consultants. Mr. Nirav Thakkar, the Director of the company commended ESS by saying “ebizframe is asset and long-term investment”.
ebizframe has been implemented on IBM server with XEON processor, Oracle database, 2 GB RAM and 160 GB HDD. Approx 20 users are using Pentium-IV desktop PCs with OS Windows XP. Total cost incurred on the implementation of ERP implementation is around 12 lakhs. The first phase was delivered in 7 months while stabilization and some enhancements were done later.
The client is establishing another plant with more machinery with latest technology and targeting double turnover with increase in export by around 25% in the coming year. So, the Management is very eager to implement full-fledged Production and Production Planning with on-line QA. The next phase will emphasize on sophisticated MIS Reports. The Management is also planning to implement ebizframe Corporate Portal of ESS to integrate suppliers and customers in its value chain.
